If you are a track fan like myself, you would have definitely thought that was a cute headliner right? 😉

One of my favorite athletes of all time is Usain Bolt.  Not only is he known to be the fastest man alive, he has won nine gold medals over the course of his Olympic career but most importantly, is heavily involved in his community.  Although I’ve never met him, for now I believe him to be a humble person in his community and that deserves the most respect.  Last June was my first time visiting Kingston and when I found out through research that he had a restaurant there, it quickly became my number one must-see.  usainbolt.com

I enjoyed Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records restaurant.  Talk about good eats and great vibes.  I had two orders of jerk chicken spring rolls. Yes, they were that good!  We stayed for over two hours just enjoying the music and entertainment, not to mention shopping in their own little memorabilia shop within the restaurant.  I ended up with a couple of pens, shirts and a set of dominoes, and until this day I love to show it off when guests are over at the house.

If you are ever in the Kingston area, you have to check it out.  The service too, was awesome.  Jamaica currently has three locations:  Kingston, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.  tracksandrecords.com

Another place to visit is Hellshire Beach, in Portmore (30 minutes outside of Kingston).  Unfortunately on my last trip, there was a heavy down pour of rain on our designated beach day so I didn’t get a chance to go and as luck would have it, the following day was nothing but sunshine as we headed back to the airport, therefore I am definitely looking forward to a second chance this June!  Hellshire Beach is a local favorite beach spot and it is also famed for their fried fish.  Please view new pictures on #bluecrushtravel when I get back from my trip this summer.  Hellshire Beach
