You all know from a previous post that I went on my first cruise last summer and since then I’ve been on a hunt for great cruise deals!  I consider myself a budget traveler but not to the extreme where I’ll sacrifice a comfortable bed and a great free breakfast.  I have to be able to walk around in my own room naked with no fear of a bug crawling on me while I’m knocked out and snoring!

I have to tell you about a Palm Beach secret that only locals or Floridians might know about but not the rest of the U.S.  The last time I checked there were fourteen ports in Florida, but most known is Port Canaveral and Port Miami for cruise ships.

The Port of Palm Beach has two cruise lines that leave for the Grand Bahama Island, Grand Celebration and a new ship recently sailing since April 13th, Grand Classica.  The cruise line expects to serve 500,000 passengers a year to the Bahamas and the deals are unbelievably great!

Take advantage of Mother’s Day deals now.  This is an awesome trip to take with family, friends or to gift for a birthday, to a recent graduate or even newlyweds!  The ideas are endless.  If there is one thing I remember about my first cruise it’s the food and entertainment, and lots of it!

Tip:  Go on the site directly to access deals or check out Groupon.  I always check there first to see what deals I can take advantage of if I visit a new city.
