Hawai’i is known for gorgeous views, a paradise vibe, relaxing beaches and home to great land and sea adventures! Here are three things to do and check out while on the island of O’ahu this year:
Diamond Head Hike- O’ahu is a hike haven. If you love the outdoors and have a love for sea and land adventures, let the islands be your playground. The world renowned Diamond Head is a staple of all Hawaiian calendars because of its beautiful postcard image. And fortunately, it also has its own hiking trail. Great for all ages and considered one of the easier hikes on the island by locals, you’ll appreciate it as a native and tourist. The views are simply breathtaking.
Paradise Helicopter Tour- There are a handful of options but I would suggest the Magnum Experience or the North Shore Adventure. The Magnum Experience will show you all of the island’s highlights, views of the fabled North Shore, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Sacred Falls and more! As its name suggests, you will experience the thrilling route in the opening sequence of Magnum P.I. overlooking the ocean as you pass Waikiki! (1hr duration)
On the North Shore adventure, you will be offered gorgeous views of the island’s North Shore. You’ll get aerial views of the whole coastline including Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, Banzai Pipeline and Kahana Bay, all world renowned for its towering waves and gigantic surf. As an added bonus, there’s also a view of Sacred Falls. (20min duration)
Kualoa Ranch- A hidden gem on the Windward side of Oahu and home to Jurassic Park’s movie setting is this beautiful ranch with the most gorgeous mountain views and lush scenery. If you want to embark on a memorable adventure, you’ll have many options: zip lining, ATV rides, horseback riding, farm tour, movie set tour etc. This is a must do on the island of O’ahu!!
Live life adventurously!

I’m going to Oahu for the first time this summer. Looks like I may have to add the ranch to my plans! So much to see and do so I’m really excited.

Yes, all the islands are different and beautiful in their own way. Ko’olina is one of my fave beaches to go to when I’m home. Thanks for sharing your story and suggesting Aulani, it is truly a nice resort.

We’ve been to Maui and Oahu and love both. Different in their own ways but beautiful places to visit. Stay at Aulani resort if you are on Oahu, our kids loved it.
